My Development process
I take a structured approach to web design. The process helps to make sure your project will be delivered on-time and on-budget Once the project kicks off, here is what to expect:
Copy and Graphics
Deployment and Optimization
Website design requires focus on outcomes and actions that you want to achieve with your website. I will consult with you to create a site that matches your message and captures your vision.
The first order of business is to get a detailed set of design and technical specifications. We have communicated already on many of those points. I will be collating those and gathering the necessary elements.
Wireframes are your first chance to visualize your website. While they’re not nearly as detailed as the final site, they give us a visual representation of the site’s overall layout.
Once all the site markups are completed and approved, we’ll proceed with site mockups. These add color and a bit more detail to the initial wireframes, giving us a stronger visual representation of the final product. This can be a long and costly part of the process. Since you have a strong idea already, the bid shows a significant reduction in this portion of the project.
Copy and Graphics
Once we have an agreement on a final design based on the mockups, I will begin with development, kicking off a two-phase process. I will be creating final versions of your’s sites copy and selecting from images you supply, as well as optimizing those images for their placements on the page. Also, I’ll be sourcing any additional graphics needed. Again, you have indicated that the graphics and copy will be supplied, so this portion of the bid has likewise been significantly reduced.
Once the copy, design, and development has been completed, I perform quality assurance testing the site’s performance and reliability. I will use various tools to check for loading, responsiveness, and speed, and making sure that it works on all browsers and mobile devices.
Deployment and optimization
Once your sure that your site is ready to be released to the public, we’ll deploy it on your public domain. I will make a back up of the site and perform layout and content updates if any issues are found in the first week of going live.
As I kick off the technical side of the web design process, I will be securing web hosting for your site, deploying the Content Management System (WordPress), creating the back-end database for the site, and creating the customized themes and pages and setting up web analytics with Google Ads and Facebook Pixel. These services will allow you to begin to use advertising if you choose in the future to target leads for your organization or to drive traffic to engage with your website, and evaluate which portions of your site are most effective.
